Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool suit up to save the world.

This one’s easy. Have you seen Deadpool, Deadpool 2, Wolverine, Logan and various other X-Men flicks, the Avengers movies, “Loki” (on Disney+), etc.? Did you know that studio buyouts made this Deadpool & Wolverine crossover possible?

If  “yes,” then you’ll definitely want to see Deadpool & Wolverine. It’s chock full of cameos, inside jokes, irreverent banter, blood-spattering fight scenes, and a really ugly dog.

If the answer is “nope- not a clue, couldn’t care less,” then skip it. Twisters is the better summer blockbuster option for the non-superhero-obsessed moviegoer (and you don’t need to have seen its predecessor Twister).

No spoilers here. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Deadpool & Wolverine stars best buds/joking adversaries Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Thanks to the emergence of a multiverse mythology and megabucks studio swap, it is now okay for characters from across the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and X-Men franchise to cross paths. So here they are. The gist of the story is that Deadpool (aka Wade Wilson) needs to secure the help of a bitter, reluctant, and still ab-fabulous Wolverine (aka Logan) to save Wade’s world.

Arty Chick weighs in:  Did you love the Deadpool flicks? I did. I have not seen all the other Wolverine/X-men episodes. But I know enough for this to be a fun romp with the two characters. Plot? It’s thin. Fight aren’t scenes too long. But mostly banter is fun, if you are into Ryan Reynold’s schtick, which I am. Probably won’t get a lot of repeat viewing, but it goes by quick for a 2 hour movie.

Deadpool & Wolverine, rated R for violence, language and typical Deadpooliness, opens exclusively in theaters on July 26.
